PROJECT
Everest Civil were engaged to undertake the earthworks for the construction of an access road and ramp as part of the Santos Brine Dam Reconstruction Project located north of Roma. The project aimed to enhance the accessibility and infrastructure around the dam, ensuring its functionality and compliance with modern standards.
SCOPE
– Detailed and bulk earthworks undertaken by utilising a detailed GPS machine control model.
– Raising, mixing and importing of suitable fill material for the access road and ramp construction.
– Managing and achieving stringent compaction and survey requirements.
Everest Civil is delivering the project with a 20 tonne excavator, fitted
with integrated GPS, tilt hitch and a highly experienced operator, to achieve a detailed design tolerance and high standard of delivery exceeding expected project timelines.

In response to severe flooding in the Toowoomba region, Everest Civil was entrusted with the Toowoomba TRC Flood Recovery Project. The project aimed to restore and enhance the rural road network affected by the flood, ensuring safer and all-weather access for the community. Toowoomba Regional Council sought the expertise of Everest Civil to undertake the comprehensive reconstruction of the roads, adhering to council design requirements.
SCOPE
– Reformation of the rural roads according to Toowoomba Regional Council’s design requirements
– Application of imported crushed gravel for road re sheeting to enhance durability and stability
– Reshaping and redesigning table drains for efficient water drainage and management
– Clearing debris and obstructions of table drains to prevent future blockages and ensure optimal functionality

This project aims to elevate the highway’s infrastructure through a comprehensive upgrade, including bulk and detailed earthworks, culvert crossings, and pavement construction, all aligned with the standards set by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).

– Bulk earthworks for new 2 km section of road alignment
– Detailed earthworks for multiple culvert crossing.
– Pavement construction to TMR specification including subgrades stabilisation and the application of foam bitumen pavement layers
