BALONNE SHIRE | FLOOD RECOVERY PROJECT

In response to the damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Kirrily and associated rainfall, Everest Civil is proud to be working with Balonne Shire Council on another flood recovery project.
The scope of works involves the reconstruction of sealed pavements across the region, restoring vital road infrastructure and improving community access. Everest Civil will deliver the works in line with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) Treatment Guide 2020 – 2021, ensuring quality, safety, and long-term resilience for the Balonne Shire road network.
SCOPE
– Patch repair of local unbound pavement failure: Approx 250 m2 of patch repair works, spread among 19 locations across 8 roads.
– Bitumen Spray seal 2-coat over reconstructed pavement: Approx 2,547 m2 of sealing works, spread among 38 locations across 9 roads.
– Pothole repairs: Various pothole repair works spread among 8 locations across 4 roads.
– Rapid Response to Deliver Fast-Track Construction Works for Toowoomba Regional Council.

Strategic Completion of Toowoomba TRC Flood Recovery Project to Restore and Secure Community Infrastructure

In response to severe flooding in the Toowoomba region, Everest Civil was entrusted with the Toowoomba TRC Flood Recovery Project. The project aimed to restore and enhance the rural road network affected by the flood, ensuring safer and all-weather access for the community. Toowoomba Regional Council sought the expertise of Everest Civil to undertake the comprehensive reconstruction of the roads, adhering to council design requirements.
SCOPE
– Reformation of the rural roads according to Toowoomba Regional Council’s design requirements
– Application of imported crushed gravel for road re sheeting to enhance durability and stability
– Reshaping and redesigning table drains for efficient water drainage and management
– Clearing debris and obstructions of table drains to prevent future blockages and ensure optimal functionality

Everest Civil was commissioned by a leading construction company to spearhead a significant upgrade along the Gore Highway. This project aims to elevate the highway’s infrastructure through a comprehensive upgrade, including bulk and detailed earthworks, culvert crossings, and pavement construction, all aligned with the standards set by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).

Rapid Response to Deliver Fast-Track Construction Works for Toowoomba Regional Council

Northgate Drainage Project
SCOPE
– Installation of Bidim Underland and rock protection to Sediment Basins 1 & 2 inlets and outlets
– Construction of eleven RCP and RCBC culverts, inlet and outlet precast headwalls with Bidim Underlay and rock protection directing localised storm-water into Cannery Creek
– Construction of a cast-in-situ (3.0m x 1.2m x 2.5m) storm-water pit tying into the existing DN1050 storm-water pipe
– Construction of a cast-in-situ 3.1m x 2.1m x 4.2m Wetland Inlet Pit and Roof Slab connecting the new rising main to the Wetland basin
– Construction of two uPVC culverts with inlet and outlet precast headwalls with Bidim Underlay and rock protection directing water from the wetland diversion drain and settling pond into the surrounding wetland area
– Construction of a cast-in-situ 1.2m x 1.2m x 1.7m Wetland Riser Pit
– Construction of two cast in situ concrete weirs between the Wetland and Bioretention Basins
– Construction of two cast-in-situ 1.5m x 1.5m x 1.7m Bioretention Basin Riser Pits with hinged dome top covers
– Installation of a pre-cast triple barrel headwall to suit 2 x DN600 and 1 x DN400 pipe, directing flow from the Wetland and Bioretention Basins Riser pits to a concrete lined outlet swale drain
